 Ceramite is an ecological casting powder which may be used to create objects with the strength, weight and surface appearance of ceramics. Ceramite comes in white, flesh tint, brick red, black and studio white.
The paste dries very quickly and is extremely easy to use: simply mix the powder with about one third water to create a fluid, easily cast paste.
Pour the mix into the mould and wait for it to harden. Drying time depends on the size and thickness of the object and on environmental conditions; twenty-five to thirty minutes should be sufficient for the object to solidify and harden properly. Ceramite will not lump or crack. Ceramite objects are particularly hard and have excellent definition of detail, and may be painted with any acrylic, oil, or gouache colours or with Idea colours.
The collection of moulds includes over seventy popular forms. Moulds are made of thick polystyrene in a vacuum to ensure resistance to wear and durability.
They are clear to permit inspection during casting and drying, so that you can correct bubbles or other flaws.
The surface of the material makes it easy to remove hardened objects from the mould.
