Cookies
General information on Cookies
Cookies are small text files (letters and/or numbers) which allow the web server to save information on the client (the user's internet browser) which can be reused during the visit to the website (session cookies) or at a later date (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, based on user preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
Cookies do not record the user's personal data nor is any identification data stored. If you wish to disenable the use of cookies, you must customize your browser settings. You can set cookies to be deleted or activate a notification to inform you when cookies are saved on your device. To proceed without editing your cookie storage settings, simply continue to use the website.
Depending on their duration, cookies are defined as session cookies (temporary cookies which are automatically deleted from the terminal when the session has ended and the browser is closed) and persistent cookies (those which remain stored in the terminal until they expire or are deleted by the user).
Cookies are used for different purposes. Primarily they are used to send communications and provide the service requested by the user; in other words they make it possible to enable and optimize website operation, perform IT authentication and prevent abuse, monitor sessions and improve the user's browsing experience, for example by keeping connections to reserved areas active while browsing through the site pages without having to re-enter the User ID and password and by memorizing specific information concerning the user (such as preferences, the type of browser and computer used).
The aforementioned cookies are known as technical cookies (their use does not require user consent) and without them some of the operations mentioned cannot be performed or would be more complex and/or less secure.
On the other hand, if cookies are used for other ends, such as to analyse browsing behaviour and send personalized promo-advertising messages (so-called profiling cookies) or even simply to obtain, by means of services provided by third parties, aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the site (so-called analytic cookies), user consent must be obtained. In fact, before sending these cookies to the terminal, pursuant to the regulations in force (Privacy Code and General Measure of the Privacy Guarantor, 8 May 2014), when a user accesses the home page or other page on the website, a banner immediately appears giving a brief outline of the cookie policy and the need for user consent which can be provided by simply proceeding to use the website or by selecting an element under the banner or by closing the banner.
In any case, cookies can only be read or modified by the website which generates them; they cannot be used to call up any data from the user's terminal and cannot transmit IT viruses.

Use of cookies on this website
This site may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. The types of cookies directly generated by this site are technical cookies, used to manage the user interface (e.g. for recording preferences expressed by the user such as display language, currency, page display format, area of connection), to provide improved use of the website and its audio-visual contents (e.g. by executing flash player type programmes), for correct operation of the connection (e.g. addressing users' requests in the most appropriate way among servers).
This site also allows cookies to be sent to the user's terminal by third parties with whom Industria Maimeri collaborates.  Industria Maimeri limits itself, in its role of technical intermediary, to send said cookies, but does not control their operation (and therefore has no control or access to the information provided/acquired) as the third parties in question are responsible for their functioning.
